چکیده
The use of black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia L.) is still controversial, especially in managed forests, due to its invasive nature. has been proven effective reclamation degraded lands when native species are not an alternative the face climate change and desertification. Therefore, importance European ecosystems remains a matter debate. Of course, it adventitious originating from another continent. However, ecological characteristics natural range very useful for ensuring restoration vegetation cover areas that have experienced significant anthropogenic pressure. This large number important features make agent forestry system provide environmental economic benefits. status as species, i.e. one capable uncontrolled spread, speculative. Such conclusion requires various studies, including those identifying exact age plants based on morphometric parameters. In our study, we tested hypothesis plant height trunk diameter will allow accurate assessment age. were measured zone spontaneous self-seeding planted 60-years-old forest. dispersed towards fallow land, formed corner agricultural field. spreading began 15 20 years ago. mainly propagated by seedlings. An expert estimated visually. trees cut obtain cross sections account annual rings. A total 68 examined characters. Black communities during self-dispersal represented individuals different ages. spatial pattern distribution ages can reveal temporal dynamics formation populations locust. For this purpose, critical accurately identify sample. Expert estimation fast fairly accurate, but depends greatly qualifications oftentimes underestimated, early stages population development. Plant also good predictor age, model gives poor predictions older than 10 years. tree ranged 2.3 16.0 meters. at breast (DBH) 1.0 17.5 cm. root collar (DRC) 1.6 21.7 studied trees, determined rings per transect, 6 17 according estimates was 8.2 ± 4.8 statistically significantly different. linearly related size, while showed logarithmic relationship with height. closer height, had slightly lower dependence traits. Regression analysis there linear between traits coefficient determination 0.96, base 0.97. indicates high level multicollinearity these considering them predictors Taking into improved predictive ability trees.

Diversification Factors of Cultivators/Investors of Robinia pseudoacacia (Black locust)
In an effort to minimize environmental degradation caused by the intensive use of agrochemicals, European Union adopted regulations relevant to afforestation and set aside of agricultural land. The multifunctional role of agriculture enhanced through these regulations and provided adequate motives for a change in the conventional land uses. Cultivators/investors that are interested in afforeste...
متن کاملSeasonal Fluctuations of Lectins in Barks of Elderberry (Sambucus nigra) and Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia).
Elderberry (Sambucus nigra) and black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) agglutinins, which are abundantly present in the bark of both species, display seasonal fluctuations with regard to their content in this tissue. These seasonal changes result apparently from a circa-annual rhythm of lectin accumulation and depletion during autumn and spring, respectively. Because the bark of trees can be consi...
متن کاملTranscriptional profiles of emasculated flowers of black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) determined using the cDNA-AFLP technique.
Black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) is a tree in the subfamily Faboideae, native to North America, that has been naturalized and widely planted in temperate Europe and Asia. Black locust has important ecological and economic value, but its quality needs improvement. Hybridization programs are important for black locust breeding, but the low rate of fruit set after controlled pollination limits ...
متن کاملThe Silviculture of Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia L.) in Hungary: a Review
Black locust was introduced in Hungary between 1710 and 1720. The first large black locust forests were established at the beginning of the 18th century on the Great Hungarian Plain stabilizing the windblown sandy soil. In the country, black locust occupied 37.000 ha in 1885, 109.000 ha in 1911, 186.000 ha in 1938 and 415.000 ha in 2009. At present, it is the most widely planted species in Hung...
متن کاملHeat-induced Chemical and Color Changes of Extractive-free Black Locust (robinia Pseudoacacia) Wood
To investigate chemical and color changes of the polymeric constituents of black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) wood during heat treatment, extractive-free wood flour was conditioned to 30% initial moisture content (MC) and heated for 24 h at 120 °C in either an oxygen or nitrogen atmosphere. The color change was measured using the CIELAB color system. Chemical changes of the wood components wer...
